The second round of the Cornwall Oset Cup Winter Championship was held at Redruth on Monday 28th December. This annual Trial also incorporates our Christmas Fancy Dress event with prizes for the best dressed rider and best dressed Oset. The continuing heavy rain made conditions more difficult than usual and the car parking field had to be abandoned for alternative hard standing. Nevertheless 29 riders entered and everyone in Fancy Dress or Fancy Bike received a prize or consolation prize thanks to Oset Bikes Ltd. All the Osets worked well in the difficult muddy conditions with no problems even during heavy rain in the last hour of the trial The Trial followed the new criteria for Cornwall Oset Cup Trials with completely separate courses for Easy, Medium and Hard course riders, this prevents unnecessary queuing and is a welcome move by riders and observers alike. All courses have 8 sections to be ridden three times with one extra section for the Hard Course riders.
